by the account request screen when you requested an account.
The system will then print:

At this point you are logged in, and are talking to the Unix shell.%
Remember to log out before you leave. Type the logout
command to the shell prompt to do this.

You will arrive at a host that is recommended for remote login.
This host is in a secure area where it is not likely to be reset suddenly
by a random passer-by. If you log in to other workstations, you run
the risk that an antisocial user at the console will press the reset
button or turn off the power without checking to see if anybody else
is logged in.
Once you have made a connection to the Lab, you should see a
login:
prompt, at which point you proceed to log in as described
above.
